Listening to Members

Peter Prozesky, WANO CEOWANO's mission is to maximise the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants worldwide by working together to assess, benchmark and improve performance through mutual support, exchange of information and emulation of best practices. And like any working relationship, the best way to continuously improve is to maintain an open and consultative dialogue with peers.

That's why, over the past four months, we have been conducting a Stakeholder Audit, aimed at discovering the thoughts, views and opinions of WANO held by our members and other  organisations with which we work. Using an external expert, we've been talking to you in-depth, asking you lots of questions about the services we offer and the way we interact with you.

I believe that this important listening exercise will improve WANO's services and help us deliver our mission. The next step, once the research has been completed, is to make recommendations to the Governing Board, following a series of workshops to consider possible changes.

Already it has been an incredibly useful process. I'd like to thank everyone who has been involved for your cooperation.
