WANO statement on the death of EDF employee in Friday’s terror attacks

​WANO CEO, Ken Ellis, said:

"It is with immense sadness that we have heard this morning of the death of Electricité de France (EDF) employee, Juan Alberto González Garrido, in the devastating attacks in Paris on Friday night. Prior to working for EDF, Juan Alberto worked for Iberdrola Ingenieria and Construccion in Nuclear Generation, and was an important member of and participant in the International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC), acting as webmaster for the group for a number of years. 

“On behalf of the WANO Young Generation and the global nuclear industry, I would like to express our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues at this terrible time.​"
