The World Nuclear University's (WNU) Nuclear Olympiad 2015 is an international challenge for undergraduate and graduate students on the topic of Nuclear Techniques for Global Development.
This is a unique opportunity supported by WANO, showcases originality, creativity, and knowledge on the topic of Nuclear Sciences and Applications and how it enhances quality of life globally.
The Nuclear Olympiad 2015 requires research into the Nuclear Applications and the positive impact it has on human lives. There are three stages to the competition. The first stage will see applicants create a video (up to sixty seconds) on the topic of Nuclear Techniques for Global Development.
Applicants are free to use their imagination on the video content and the specific focus. These will be evaluated by the Olympiad Jury in line with its relevance to the current global context, creativity and impact to the viewer. The videos are then shortlisted and put to a public vote with the most popular five videos put through to the final stage. Details of the final stage will be released later and will include a short essay.
The winning video will receive global promotion in relation to the WNU Radiation Technologies School to be held in 2016, with credit to the author(s).
