WANO is a global organisation with almost 300 staff growing to almost 400 staff by 2014 and operating across six locations: Atlanta, Hong Kong, London, Moscow, Paris and Tokyo. The nuclear industry is facing new challenges and, post-Fukushima, many organisations are beginning to strengthen their workforce to support those in need of help.

WANO recognises the value of knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated individuals and is now looking to expand the team even further. Working at WANO gives staff the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture and learn about nuclear safety on an international scale.

Permanent vacancies

If you would like to make a more permanent move, WANO offers the opportunity to support the nuclear industry on a global scale. Permanent staff members receive a competitive salary, several training opportunities as well as the opportunity for global travel with the organisation.

Currently all permanent vacancies are based in London, one of the world's most diverse and exciting cities. Successful applicants will work with a growing team of individuals from every corner of the world, across various parts of the organisation.

Secondee vacancies

Secondees are provided to WANO from members and stay for anywhere from one to three years. Depending on the department, they can gain an in-depth knowledge of different reactor types, event trends, communications and business management. Each secondee brings back substantial awareness of the importance of safety in a nuclear environment and close connections with other members of the industry.

As part of their role, secondees will travel in accordance with tasks related to their assigned WANO programme (Peer Reviews, Technical Support Missions or event investigation teams) and and have the opportunity to interact with and learn from nuclear professionals around the world. Current vacancies are for positions in the London Office, giving successful applicants the chance to become immersed in one of the most multi-cultural and dynamic cities in the world.
