WANO collaborates with international organisations to promote excellence in nuclear safety and industry performance

As part of its long-term collaboration and relationship with the World Nuclear University (WNU), WANO is taking part in the WNU Summer Institute in Osaka, Japan. The Summer Institute is an immersive, five-week nuclear leadership and professional development programme for leaders in the nuclear industry.
WANO experts, in partnership with a representative from its member China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), have provided lectures and training to fellows on nuclear safety culture, safety fundamentals and leadership attributes. A total of 68 fellows from 30 different countries are taking part.
Dr Naoki Chigusa, WANO Chief Executive Officer, will also speak at the Summer Institute later in July on the topic of the importance of harmony in building effective leadership.
