What does the Trends and Performance Monitoring Team do?
The Trends and Performance Monitoring service collects, screens and analyses operating experience and performance data, providing members with lessons learnt and industry performance insight reports.
Fundamental to its success is the willingness of WANO members to openly share their operating experience and performance data for the benefit of other nuclear operators throughout the world.
Utilising operating experience, performance indicators and data to help us improve industry performance and support to the regional centres.
Typical roles include
Operating Experience Senior Advisor
Key responsibilities include assisting the function by screening WANO event reports, analysing performance data and participating in workshops and seminars to ensure high quality operating experience products are generated.
Operating Experience Manager
Key responsibilities include supervising the work of the OE members, receiving, evaluating, analysing, and publishing operating experience and performance indicator data from nuclear stations worldwide.
Data Analyst
Key responsibilities include supporting the development and analysis of new performance indicators and will communicate data-driven results and insights through data visualisation using tools such as Power BI, developing dashboards, reports, and presentations.
ePM Senior Advisor
Key responsibilities include providing guidance and oversight for regional centre personnel and cross-functional WANO teams to continuously monitor and analyse performance of member stations, fleets, and utilities.
Data Scientist
Key responsibilities include identifying performance insights in large datasets, synthesising and communicating the results and trends across relevant stakeholders – including plants, stations, fleets, members, regional centres, and overall industry performance.
Performance Indicator Coordinator
Key responsibilities include ensuring the sub-programme is implemented supporting members, peer reviews, enhanced performance monitoring and other programmes. This position assists the Enhanced Performance Monitoring (ePM) Manager.
