Welcome to the BGM Special Edition of Inside WANO.
It was our great pleasure to hold the Biennial General Meeting 2017 in Gyeongju, South Korea. In this historic region, known as the 'museum without walls', some of the industry's most senior executives gathered to discuss the current status and the future direction of nuclear safety. Lively and in-depth discussions were generated, excellent presentations were delivered, and the key challenges facing the industry were examined in great detail.
In this edition of Inside WANO, you will find coverage of the speaker presentations and panel discussions, a celebration of nuclear excellence in our Nuclear Excellence Awards story, along with a preview of the 2019 BGM.
In closing, I would like to thank all of the eminent speakers who took part in this invaluable meeting, and of course our hosts, Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP), without whom such a successful meeting would not have been possible.
