WANO signs Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation with CNEA


WANO and China Nuclear Energy Association (CNEA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in a virtual signing ceremony.
 
CNEA is a national non-profit, non-governmental organisation based in China with the objective to act as a bridge for CNEA members to link with the government and foreign counterparts. CNEA’s mission is to  implement through national policies on nuclear energy development, promote industrial independent innovation and technical advance and support for increasing safety, reliability and economics of nuclear energy.
 
The parties agreed to enhance their cooperation within their respective policies and business, with several articles agreed, including CNEA’s affiliation to London Office until such time as the Shanghai Office becomes a fully-fledged and operational regional centre.  
 
Naoki Chigusa, WANO CEO, signed the agreement along with Zhang Tingke, Secretary General from CNEA, at the specially arranged ceremony.
